The dates produced for export are Category A, and are marketed as fresh, dried or semi-dried, depending on the variety and the season. The dates are also sold either on branches or as pieces. Fresh dates are usually sold from early August until late November, while the dried dates are sold year-round. Al-Baraka Farms will soon introduce, for the first time ever, newly created Jordanian varieties. These new breeds have been tested for taste, appearance and quality for the past ten years.
